As our country experiences a global pandemic, health care workers are our first line of defense – and it's our job to keep them safe. We must act to support our health care workers – right now – as they care for so many in our communities.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is critical. This refers to items like N95 respirator masks, face shields, and basic masks. Nationwide, PPE is running low – putting health care workers in danger.
Emergency child care so health care workers can do their jobs knowing that their child is safe. As schools and child care centers close and extended families are told to socially distance, health care workers are left without reliable child care during one of the most stressful times in their careers.
Paid sick leave. There are still gaps even within the health care sector. Just like people in any other field, health care workers cannot afford to lose pay when they need to stay home because they're sick. The already significant public health risks associated with a lack of paid sick leave are multiplied during a pandemic.

Sign the petition and commit to supporting health care workers by staying home, practicing social distancing, and calling on lawmakers to support policies that keep them safe!
