Tell the New Congress: Make Gun Violence Prevention a Top Priority

Twenty-five years ago Congress passed the Brady background check law, which has dramatically lowered gun violence deaths and stopped over 3 million illegal gun sales.

But criminals and others who would do harm to their fellow Americans have exploited loopholes, and today 1 out of every 5 guns in America is sold without a background check.

Looking back at just these last few years, it is hard to imagine where we can be safe. Our places of peace, be they churches, concerts, or schools, have all been attacked with weapons of war.

On this 25th anniversary, let's renew our commitment to keeping our communities safe from gun violence.

Add your name: I'm calling on the new Congress to make gun violence prevention a top priority in 2019.
